TourGo (“we,” “us”) operates a free property management platform that allows hotel owners and managers in Colombia to manage bookings, customers, transactions, and rooms.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal data in compliance with Colombian law.

1. DATA WE COLLECT

Personal Data (Datos Personales)

We collect:

Full name, ID number (Cédula), email, phone, address
Business data: hotel name, NIT, chamber of commerce registration
Guest data: name, ID, contact info, payment method (encrypted)
Transaction records: booking dates, amounts in COP, invoices

Usage & Technical Data

Automatically collected:

IP address, browser, device type, operating system
Pages visited, session duration, clicks

Cookies

We use functional and analytical cookies. You can disable them in your browser, but some features may be limited.

2. PURPOSE OF PROCESSING

We process your data to:

Provide and operate the TourGo platform
Manage bookings, payments, and invoicing (DIAN compliance)
Send transactional emails and notifications
Improve platform performance and user experience
Prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations

3. DATA SHARING

We share data only with:

Cloud providers (e.g., AWS in São Paulo or Frankfurt) with SCCs
Payment gateways (e.g., PayU, Mercado Pago) under PCI-DSS
DIAN or judicial authorities when required by law
Successors in case of merger or sale

All recipients are bound by data processing agreements.

4. DATA SECURITY

We implement:

TLS encryption in transit
AES-256 encryption at rest
Access controls, firewalls, and regular audits

No method is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute protection.

5. YOUR RIGHTS UNDER LEY 1581

You have the right to:

Know, update, and rectify your data
Request proof of authorization
File complaints with the SIC
Revoke consent or request deletion (when legally feasible)
Access your data free of charge once per month

6. DATA RETENTION

We retain data only as long as necessary or required by law (e.g., 5 years for tax records per DIAN). Inactive accounts are deleted after 3 years.

7. CHILDREN'S DATA

TourGo does not knowingly collect data from minors under 18. Any such data will be deleted immediately.

8. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

Data may be processed in countries with adequate protection (per SIC list) or under Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

9. UPDATES TO THIS POLICY

We will notify you of material changes via email or platform notice. Continued use implies acceptance.
